Submit yourselves to God

Humble yourself before the lord and he will lift you up. Simple as that.

Taming the tongue

James chapter 3 verse 1 - 18 The tongue is small but it makes great boasts. The tongue is like a fire, a world of evil. Difficult to tame. Yet we worship our lord with the same tongue and with it we curse men. This should not be, therefore we should filter ourselves of our words and think about the influences it can possibly have when others hear.

Faith and Deeds

James chapter 2 verse 14-26 If one claims to have faith yet has no deeds it's meaningless. Alternatively, faith alone if it is not accompanied by action what good can it be. The two without each other is meaningless therefore are interdependent on each other. By having faith our deeds should come naturally not as an obligation. Make your faith and actions work together so that your faith may be made complete.

Trials and Temptations

James 1:2 - 18 Consider your trials joys as it will give you perseverence. Blessed is the man who perserveres under trials because triumphs over the trials he will recieve the crown of life that our lord has promised. Don't be decieved as all good things come from above, not by our own hands. Therefore, be a kind of firstfruits of all that he has created.

Concluding affirmations

We know that we are children of God and he has given us understanding so we can know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his son Jesus. Therefore, keep yourself from idols and know to hate sin.

Love and hatred for fellow believers

Don't claim to be in the light yet hate your brother or sister. Don't say you know him when you do not heed to his commands. Instead obey his word, love and fear God and as you claim to live in him, live as Jesus did.

Warning against antichrists and children of god

1 John chapter 2 verse 18 - 29 We as the anointed ones of the Holy one and as we know the truth. We must remain in him so that when he returs we may be confident and unashamed before our almighty lord.
